I just wanted to bring up the fact that I am the Captain of the Constructed Languages Guild on GaiaOnline. ;Þ
LINK
It's been in existence for about a year now and currently has 162 members, with a steady stream of new people. The people there are friendly - this is possibly enhanced by the fact that it's rather cut-off from the other online conlanging communities. It's a hidden forum, which is nice.
Of course, some of you already know about it (and one of you is a mod there), but I just want you to know that if you ever join GaiaOnline you can send in a join request and I or another mod will accept it.

I started to join the other day, and it looks like the signup for Gaia Online is a tad more complex than the others. The first thing it did was drop me into something to chose/create an avatar. Since I had other commitments at the time, I just bailed out. I'll try to get back to that at some point. The community sounds excellent. _________________ Dwirze ghárìlen ershónyá áqálán.

Yeah, you have to create an avatar to represent you. xÞ It only takes a couple of minutes; the rest of the signup goes the same as for any forum.
@Tsiasuk-Pron: Basically, on GaiaOnline, a guild is a private set of forums that you can get if you pay quite a bit of virtual currency (20,000G) that you earn by being active on the site. xD
Then you can add subforums to the main guild forum for 2500G each. The CLG has nine subforums.
I run the guild as democratically as possible. xÞ
When I have an idea (that wouldn't be easily removed, generally), I post it in the suggestions thread just like everyone else and the members decide.
I'm also considering giving the guild a chatroom through Gabbly.
There are several people from the ZBB there; yesterday, actually, vampyre_smiles joined. But mostly, the community stands on its own. We've been getting a steady stream of new members; five have joined since I originally posted this topic. A lot of us, myself included, have banners in our signatures that advertise the guild when we post on the main forums.
It is very much affiliated with the Foreign Languages Guild, in which I am Vice-Captain and basically run the whole thing since the Captain's been gone. xÞ The FLG has 1800 or so members.
Oh, and if you join, I'd advise you to stay out of some of the General Discussion forum. D; |

I joined but after looking around for a while I think I'll stick to the ZBB. The avatars are cute, but there just isnt that much conlanging going on there. _________________

There is quite a bit, but most of us (including myself) are bad about actually documenting it. Hopefully that will change soon, because I'm going to start introducing a challenge where people who consistently post bilingual posts get avatar prizes every month. ;Þ
I don't really care about the avatars and have successfully made mine look hilarious. |

I know you changed your avatar 2 times in a row. How do you do that? I'm asking because I wanna change my hair. I know you can add stuff to it like to change the out fits and stuff but how do you change the hair? _________________

This is semi-off topic, but have you all heard about http://www.nationstates.net/? What about creating a conlanging region to move all our states to? |
