I think I've got it in Hemnalg and Tadvaradcel, but I'm still working on ra cel - working out kinks in the subordinate clauses and such. I have to go to work in about an hour, but if I get it done I'll add a link to the script form of the Tadvaradcel translation.

I think it would be closer to the genitive than the possessive (if that's possible - my langs don't distinguish it but I gloss them separately depending on context/word order etc).
Maybe a variation on the sentence would be
| Quote: | "and looked down one as far as I could / to where it bent in the undergrowth"

"and to a great distance I look(ed), look(ed) to the [road among the grass OR grassy road], to the place of bending"
so yeah, I can see where you`re coming from with the gerund. Maybe here the use of (insert name here) can be glossed as NOUN.GEN VERB.GER? |
