I doing 'Dreams' as a art project, where we need to produce a piece based of thoughts and dreams.
Therefore, I just wanted you to give me ideas about what you think about if someone said 'dreams'. For example:
What Type of Atmosphere? (sunrise, sunset, midnight, moon)
Any Religious References? (gods/goddesses)
artist works that remind you of dreams (Josephine Wall)
music (piano, violin)
fantasy (fairies, elves)
nature (forest, sea)
loved objects (necklace, friends, family)
Get the idea? Basically it is a mind map of all to do with dreams, it can be as broad as you like! ^^ Thank you.
-------
LONGER EXPLANATION
This is because we need to do direct observational drawings; having the things in front of you, this means that I will need to find things to draw which relate to dreams, ie, idols of a god(dess), a necklace from your grandparents etc, and I just wanted to see what other people think of when people say 'dreams'.
This sounds quite hard, but to me, dreams are also like illusions and so I went out today and took photos, looking up into trees, getting close to plants, even looking into foxglove flowers, all of these are inspiration.
'Dreams' could also refer to a desire, like no war or that a loved pet would live on forever or even come back to life if deceased. |

What Type of Atmosphere? Night. Moon-lit. Sometime between late spring and early fall.
Any Religious References? No.
Artist's Work that Remind you of Dreams Viktor Vasarely?
Music? No. (Well, maybe Squirrel Nut Zippers' "Kraken". But probably not.)
Fantasy? A feeling that magic is possible and could happen at any moment. (May include not being surprised in case a fantastic creature shows up; but not limited to that.)
Nature? A lakeshore near a forest edge, just outside a house. Not winter; there are plenty of green leaves on the plants. But not a noticeable abundance of flowers nor of fruit, either. (Maybe they're there, and just dominated by the leaves.)
Loved Objects? Not unless you count the house or the forest. But I start out heading away from the house, trying to decide whether to turn to the lakeshore or turn to the forest. [EDIT]: I never thought of what was in the house, why I was leaving it, whether or not something in there might come out behind me, or what would happen if I turned around and went back inside. I wonder why not? [/EDIT]

What Type of Atmosphere? (sunrise, sunset, midnight, moon) - any. Normal life to alien world.
Any Religious References? (gods/goddesses) - familiar ones. Have had dreams where I talk to a being/entity that variously manifests as Jesus or even an major Alurhsa (no kidding!) prophet/teacher.
artist works that remind you of dreams (Josephine Wall)
music (piano, violin) - Enya
fantasy (fairies, elves) - Unicorns sometimes, but mostly either no people, or people, sometimes animals (cats, big and small, but I'm a cat lover).
nature (forest, sea) - fertile forest. Sea. Island shaped like a skull. Deep valleys with swamps.
loved objects (necklace, friends, family) - cats, again. Or homeworld. _________________ Dwirze ghárìlen ershónyá áqálán.

LOL, well it is also called a spider diagram or brainstorm, but we're not supposed to use brainstorm as the lunatic British government says that it may offend people who suffer from epilepsy. |

I like the term "spider diagram". You know why? Because I love spiders! _________________

I sure'nough like it.
What's it have to do with what we posted in response to your original post (if anything)?
And does Viktor Vasarely count as "aboriginal" or as "surreal"? (He has two series called "Planetary Folklor", so I'd think of him as "con-aboriginal"; a kind of "aboricon artist". But IANAAC*, so ...)

Well the responses you gave, I have put most of them in the mind map. It is like a starting point of my art project.
I haven't heard of Viktor Vasarely, I will research him. ^^ |

I see; the problem is I can't read the white-on-black part that looks like chalk on blackboard.
Can we see this image magnified?
Are you done with your art or do you intend to elaborate it some?
Thanks. |
