I can't believe I haven't posted this here yet...
I, on the Conproject, wrote: | The idea is to reduce a sentence to as few words as possible without being polysynthetic. The only two main types of words are nouns and verbs.
The phonology is something like this (from memory):
/m v t d T D 4 l K K\ s z k x N j w/ <m v t d th dh r l lh lj s z k kh g y w>
/a e i M/ <a e i u>
Consonant gemination is permitted, with /t: d: k:/ > /tT dD kx/.
It inflects for a LOT of things. The full lists are images:

It's got active-stative alignment.
Also, the list images are a little old, and it distinguishes greater/lesser/general paucal and possesive/attributive/subjective/objective genitive. |

I like it so far!
I'll study it better and probably comment again.
Looking forward to more! _________________ "We're the healthiest horse in the glue factory" - Erskine Bowles, Co-Chairman of the deficit reduction commission |

Dang, it's been forever since anyone posted anything in this subforum. I was going to make a new topic for this, but it apparently isn't necessary!
I'm very inexperienced at creating descendants of languages (at best I know how to do just a few phonological changes), so I would like some help with creating a descendant of Kilhiryui. I'd like do get it so that the syllable structure is much closer to (C)V, but I'm not sure how I'm going to do that. So if anyone knows something about descending langs, I would like to have some input from you! |
