It doesn't look like an abugida.
It looks like an alphabet.
All of your vowels (and some diphthongs) have their own characters assigned....If it were an abugida, showing other vowels would (usually) be accomplished by "diacritical marks" or "points" on the consonant-symbols, rather than by writing a symbol for the vowel. |
I think it is actually done with diacritics. I think the character you see in the vowel space is an example character (possibly a vowel carrier?) with diacritics attatched.
elden raigmore wrote: | Your consonants don't come with "inherent vowels".
If it were an abugida, each consonant-symbol, if unmodified, would represent a particular open "CV"-style syllable. |
This I agree with. Many conscripts seem to do that sort of thing.

Finally, it would help if you showed the sound-values of the characters, in IPA or Z-SAMPA or CXS or some such X-SAMPA -based notation. |
Hopefully that will be soon, maybe when she gets the language started.

It seems that the Jilingki Script is really one of those scripts to reckon with in a pretty scripty contest. |

Well, I guess that's why people make up a conscript. Write a sample sentence in your created baby, then stare and admire at it for as long as you one. When you're done indulging with it, make up another new script and repeat again. The fun never stops.
That's why people conscript, isn't it? |

Well that's why I make conscripts. Don't know if it's the same with other people though. What about you?

Partially I conscript for that reason (I especially used to), partially I do it so my langs have scripts of their own. |

That's another reason why I do it too. Makes it more unique.

Well, there is a reason why I make conscript (s). Seven years ago, I used to writing a diary. I need to make sure that I have the freedom to write every possible remarks without being caught blue-handed. I really need to put my thoughts on paper safely. So, that means making alternative symbols out of the alphabet. I made each symbols a resemblance of the original; some i flipped and skew, while still maintaining ambiguity. Most are very simple to pick up, and simplicity can mean faster writing, too. Perhaps, not as fast as the Shavian.
I still use this script till today. I can read English in it. Which is unfortunate because I cannot enjoy its mystical impression anymore. But since, its design is based carelessly on english alphabet, I wonder if people can also read my script all along?

Realistically, that should conserve most of the your conlang heritage with originality. |

I can't tell what it says. I'm not that good with the Latin alphabet, though, so someone else might be able to. _________________ Bakram uso, mi abila, / del us bakrat, dahud bakrita! |

I can't read it, and I'm pretty ok with Roman letters. |

Yes that works! I like the script alot! Could you tell me more about it. I know it's either a cipher or a script for a conlang.
I like it though it reminds me of a script my friend made but it's used for English. Do you have any other ones?

I have other ones years ago, but I abondoned it. It's too complicated to use...
This script writes English. Yes, and so it's an altscript (according to my definition). Your friend write a script in english? That's nice. Would you by any other means show it? Or maybe, you do? I'd like to see it, too. |

Hmm, Serali, that looks very much like the script from the Codex Seraphinianus, was that where you got your inspiration from? Or at least the script there but not cursive.
Look here |

DAMN! That's just scary! I think some one deserves boingies..... *Goes to tell her friend*
Oh and my friend made the script but I can see where you're coming from. Which is why I said it was scary......I've purposely based some scripts on the one found in the Codex Seraphinianus because it owns.
If any one has a copy of the book please send it to me I want it.
