how do you guys feel about ghosts on earth? (i.e. do you believe in them and do you believe in hauntings). i personally, being a medium, do believe in both ghosts and hauntings. i talk to both ghosts and spirits as well. however there is a difference between ghosts and spirits (in case you dont already know); ghosts dont know that they're dead, and spirits do. please comment!! if you have any questions let me know. _________________ Join us at: The Renewed Spirits Forum!

Based purely on verifiable, objective, scientific evidence, ghosts do not exist.
Or at least we do not have enough verifiable, objective, scientific evidence. |

I would say that they exist because I believe that spirits are all around us and ghosts are most likely to be present as well. I also feel a connection with them but I haven't seen them before. |

that's great that you have a connection with them. i have seen them before in FULL form because im a medium, but there are ways that you can contact them.
#1. call a medium and some friends and have them perform a seance. (this can be quite expensive if you hire a professional because they normally charge a lot of money [i have no idea why.] but you can call a friend that is a medium too.)
#2. i personally DO NOT recommend this, but you can use an ouija board. the reason i do not recommend this because it can invite the devil into your area. but if the conditions are right, you can contact spirits.
#3. have a non- medium seance, where there is not a medium present. get some friends and ask for taps and rattles from the spirit/ghost.
there you have it. keep this thread going!!! _________________ Join us at: The Renewed Spirits Forum!

That's really interesting! ^_^ And I totally agree with the Ouija boards, I often do divinations with Tarot and such but I refuse to get a Ouija board. |

that's what i like to hear. but i unfortunately see tarot as sometimes incorrect . again they can work though, if the conditions are right.
what is your strangest ghost experience? my personal weirdest experience was where i saw 2 spirits (not ghosts... but o well) in my friend's basement, and one was her grandma and another was someone by the name of Charles. she had no idea who charles was, but she always knew that he was there. no one else did, but she did. we all actually saw an apparition of charles that night, too. _________________ Join us at: The Renewed Spirits Forum!

No, I think in fact that it might be evil to believe a human spirit not inhabiting a body can experience anything or communicate or be communicated with.
I'm not so upset about belief in re-incarnation provided no-one believes the soul can experience pleasure or pain or reward or punishment, or communicate with the living or receive communications from them, between incarnations; and the circumstances of one's re-incarnation are not a reward or a punishment for the way one lived one's previous life. |

I haven't really had a ghost experience... but I just sense that my ancestors are always there and sometimes other ghosts/spirits. |

i respect your beliefs, but what makes you think that a spirit in non-human form cant experience anything? (that question was for elidin ragimore) _________________ Join us at: The Renewed Spirits Forum!

(This post was moved to the "question for all forumers" section in the conworlds section, because Langover pointed out it was on the wrong thread.)

i suggest that you look in the "question for all forumers" section in the conworlds section because i basically explained all of that in one post. and what your saying now is that you're basically a pandeist because you dont believe that there's any proof that god is intervening with anything. also, i cant stress enough GOD IS NOT A JUDGE!!!!!!!!!!!! the sole and only reason that people go to hell is because they say "God, i'm sure that its really nice in heaven, but it's just not for me". God doesnt care if you are another religion, he loves you anyway. if you do good in life, then YOU WILL GO TO HEAVEN!!!!!!! and you'll just have to spend time in pugatory being cleansed from all of your sins. but then after that you'll be with all the saints and angels and jesus and whoever you follow and what-have-you. _________________ Join us at: The Renewed Spirits Forum!

I think the evidence of God still being involved on a personal level with an individual is something that individual needs to answer. Personally, whenever I'm feeling a total lack of God's personal involvement in my life ("recently" being one of those times!) I like to look back at events in my own past where I have no valid explanation other than the intervention of some higher power.
I guess I feel also that without God being involved, all is too random and hopeless. And I feel that way even if God created everything and then went into hands-off and ignore it mode.
All of which doesn't mean I have answers for why bad things happen or the most sincere prayers sometimes don't seem to get any answer.
As for God deciding who can and cannot go to Heaven, I would assume that if God created all things, then God would have the right and ability to determine that. But, those you mention in the past and present whose feeling is "kill them all and God will sort it out" are overlooking all the prohibitions in all belief systems against doing exactly that thing.
Many people have taken good, solid teachings from God and perverted them to cover their own misdeeds. But this is an indictment against those who do so, not against God for providing the teachings, nor for being who God is.
As for ghosts, yes, I believe the spirit is eternal and that while it is connected to the body during life, the spirit does not die when the body does. Although I believe the spirit's native home is the spiritual realm (Heaven, if you will), I don't have a problem accepting that there can be occasional "bleed through" from that realm into ours. _________________ Dwirze ghárìlen ershónyá áqálán.

i think that i have the answer to why you didnt get an answer to some of your prayers. jesus once said "ask and you shall receive, seek and you shall find, knock and the door will be opened unto you". this is the case most of the time, and god has 1 of 3 answers to your prayers: yes, no, or wait. the only reason that an answer to a prayer can be "no", is because maybe you have something in your prayer that god doesnt want. for example, it could mess with someone's free will, it could involve hurting someone, or it could involve cursing someone by saying "burn in hell" or something like that. the answer could also be "wait" because you might not be ready for it in this time in your life. he might want you to wait until you know a little bit more on the subject before he answers your prayer. the answer could also be yes, but it might not always be in the exact way that you thought of. this, of course, is the catholic theory of how prayers are answered. _________________ Join us at: The Renewed Spirits Forum!

I have personally lived in a haunted house.
When I was about 8 or 9 we moved to this old house just on the outerskirts of Melbourne and it would have been atleast early 1800's.
Anyway, all sorts of weird things happened. The TV would changed the channel and turn off and on all by itself. Windows and doors opened, you could even see thehandle turning when the doors opened. Every night at 9:00 exactly all the lights in the house would turn off.
But some of the things that happened were the most frightening experiences of my life.
From about 12:00 each night a wrapping sound would start. Each wrap had exaclty 10 seconds between each one. Mine and my sisters pillows were pulled out from under our heads and tossed onto the floor along with our blankets and books, toys, etc. So by the time we woke up in the morning, our rooms were pigsties!
Also, at our city's cemetery (Melbourne Cemetery), you can have night tours around the cemetery. About a year back, me and my mum did it (both crazy ghost people) and we managed to get some photos of orbs.
If I can find the photos, I'll scan them and post them here.
BTW @langover94, WOW!, just WOW! |

do you still live in that house? because your house seems like quite an active area for ghosts, especially because of the old ground. clearly the spirit wanted you to know that it was there. did the house happen to be on or near water? _________________ Join us at: The Renewed Spirits Forum!

No I don't think so, but the Yarra River (Melbourne's main river) is about 4-5 kilometers away. |

ok because it makes it quite an eligible place for a haunting, because ghosts find it easier to travel when in moisture. _________________ Join us at: The Renewed Spirits Forum!
