We've had several glosses -- for which I (probably "we") thank everyone -- but yours will be only the second script I'll be able to see and only the third posted. So I (probably "we") look forward to it!

Thanks to everyone who's posted a translation and/or gloss and/or script so far.

Well, guys. It's time for my first translation. After searching a little bit, this was the first one I found that I could actually do.

So, what I have for you today is a translation of Tolkien_Freak's poem into Aalmoken. First, I give you it written in Aalšiknâk:

And now, in each of my four current transliterations:

Romanization:

*.šeuuk fyuuǩai.
.xajun aanai.
.šeuuk basai gwe.
.kof fniimai amâs.
.kiine iikâs giival.
.cijun aanai.
.šeuuk banai gwe.
.cik e žaf žaaikais.
.kiine iikâs muħgal.
.šeuukai.*

Cyrillization:

"Devanagarization:"

"Bengalization:"

Finally, a gloss.

.rain to-precipitate(3/S/Pr).
.summer to-be(3/S/Pr).
.rain to-clean(3/S/Pr) you(ACC).
.world to-seem(3/S/Pr) calm(ADV).
.to-feel(2/S/Pr) now happy.
.winter to-be(3/S/Pr).
.rain to-hurt(3/S/Pr) you(ACC).
.ice and fire to-cut(3/Pl/Pr).
.to-feel(2/S/Pr) now sad.
.sky to-rain(3/S/Pr).

I noticed that in my translation the syllables of each line are patterned: 4,4,6,6,7,4,6,6,7,4. But other than that, nothing special.

Pulling a topic out of the casket just to put some more clothes on it, I am.

* I just noticed that I missed one voicing marker in the Aalšiknâk version and the statement markers for all of the entries. Though I've added them back to the transliterations.
