That's what I'm thinking after I tried to get support for making one of our own on a Spanish speaking forum. Even if we all speak the same language, it seems impossible to find an artist (or a couple of them). Even keeping the supporters interested in the project and its development cycle is getting a heavy burden IMHO. We only have defined 5 character profiles but 2 of them are mine so that means there are 4 people involved only. Normally you'd think it should be done just by one person or two friends but since I don't have any (that could be interested in any kind of comics) I had no choice but to ask the forumers if they wanted to join the project team.

I must admit it's a very slow process and it isn't going in the right direction, again, IMHO. I guess someone will say some day it all was my fault and no one else's. (It was my last attempt to let me start working on a literary project that I could really finish and publish (on the web)... My previous project, a simple conworld, never took off.)

A lot of webcomics seem to have little to no artistic value. Just look at Cyanide and Happiness. It's just stick figures and MSPaint blurbs. A lot of old webcomics got started as cut and paste comics. The characters all had one or two poses that were pasted into the frames. Look at early Elf Only Inn (RIP) for an example. As long as your dialogue is witty, you can get away with bad artwork.

Right, but I have also found web comics like Sandra and Woo that aren't that ridiculously simple or rudimentary. I told my team we could just make some simple drawings to illustrate the comic but not to the extend of those full of stick figures.
