 MERRY CHRISTMAS!
The boingies and I want you to write Merry Christmas in your pretty scripties and conlangs.
How many Christmas boingies did you see so far?
And this is my contribution to the topic: Käläli Christmas Words.
So wishing everyone a good one! If the date on this is wrong ignore it. It's 7:14PM December 25th 2009 here.

WHAT?!
Do you mean in my script or achemel's?
Because I assure if it's mine it's not that difficult. Infact it's easy.

no, I'm having a problem TRANSLATING "Christmas", because I don't know how to aproach it
In English it's Christ-mas (a hint to Jesus Christ)
In French it's Noël (Who knows where from )
In Latvian it's Ziemassvētki (The Winter Celebration)
... so I'm kinda lost.. |

For my Hemnalg translation I took the approach of the concept being imported, and it translates to "joyful birthday." It might help to think of how the people speaking your language were exposed to Christmas (if at all), or if they have a similar belief and (possibly) corresponding holiday which you could use, or you could just phonologically or literally translate it. _________________ I have some small knowledge of:

Looks way more Klingon than Japanese to me. I don't think I would have thought Japanese if you hadn't mentioned it.
Looks really sci-fi-y though. |

Just a question, how do you guys get your conscript to become PC fonts. I have seen websites, but they don't allow me to use diacritics for my conlanguage, which uses them... _________________ Languages spoken:

Well for me the 2 scripts I posted the fonts were made by a friend of mine on Gaia.
I haven't been on there in ages and the thread that I had put my request on is pretty much dead.....but I'll check for you. I certainly hope it's not and that he's still making fonts for people because I need some additions to the 2 scripts you see on there.
Other then that I have no idea. I too would like to know this because the only one that I know of that does it sort of is fontstruct. And that is limited. If you wanted to make rounded scripts on that forget it.
Do you have an image of the script? I would like to see it. What I could do is ask on here or the ZBB and see if someone could make font out of the script.
Idk we'll see. There must be something out there though.
