As some of you know, I'm an artist as well as a conlanger, amongst other things. ^_^ In Year 11, one of my projects was to do some calligraphy. I based my project on conscripts. I have posted lots of them onto my deviantart account at: http://sfasmtawsbasa.deviantart.com/gallery/#Calligraphy. Here are some of them:

Ooooh, pretty.
If I were an artist, I would probably do a lot of this stuff, but I suck epicly at drawing anything except conscripts.
You know, your script looks a lot like vertical Arabic. |

That's really neat looking. I seems like it belongs in some medieval codex. I bought a calligraphy set with a bunch of pens, brushes, paints, and ink...and then never used it. I would like to learn some time, though. Did you use a brush for the writing?
By the way, what did you write about? _________________ Speak: English, Spanish

Lovely! Especially like the curly ornamentation on the script, I'm guessing that that's Eleypherion. What did you write about?
Also, the floral images are great. I'm sensing some influence from Codex Serapiphaneus (forgive the spelling), what with the imaginative shapes and bright colors. |

Thank you very much. ^_^ I suppose it does look a little like vertical Arabic.
The final peice actually consisted of 5 pages, in total, I coloured and wrote on 8 of the pages and was based on the Codex Seraphinianus. Haha, well done for spotting the influence. ^_^
It was written using a calligraphy pen and I will tell you about what it actually says when I get home and look through the sketchbook. It was basically about the plants that were on the page that are lost now. The piece was set like in the year 3000 or something and it was a collection of plants from the Amazon rainforest. So the writing was basically just description of the plants.
It isn't Eleypherion in fact. This one spreads across a lot more than Eleypherion which is much more linear. Furthermore, the vowels are diacritics instead of being a letter - hence the lack of being linear.
I don't seem to be able to find the right words today. >_< |

A mix of Arabic Naskh and Classical Mongolian. Very pleasant to the eye. 5/5 |

Looks like a cross between Arabic and Tibetan to me. Very ornamental and very pleasing to the eye! I like it! _________________ My Website |

Is this for a conlang, or is it a cypher?
Very beautiful. _________________ Múg ügg pålschö svawíva ig vó wevýsíaana. - You plan a language and it will thrive.

Amazing ! That must have taken ages to design. To me, it looks like a mix between Arabic and Mongolian. |

Pré bo alinin oun éamé zaroz tarustar.
(Papéi shiz, vinti-Yepheriun-zarozlim)
The script? Or the actual manuscript thing? I'll answer both.
The script was basically just imagination and stealing bits from other scripts and my own scripts.
The manuscript was done on A2 and if I remember correctly, 4 pieces of A2, so there was a front cover, 4 pages about plants and then the back cover. I tea-stained the pages and drew out a grid so that I could add the border and put the text in the right place. Then the drawings were done with watercolours and the writing was done in ink, so I had to use a calligraphy pen. And then it was all bound using string and needle.
(It's been a while since I wrote anything in Eleypherion! o_O) |

The one on the left? It's called Sulozyan but it's not really that good, I need to change it. Haha. And the first on the right is the script i used for this calligraphy. |

Yes that one. I like it.
Why change it though? Could I see the alphabet? I doubt you need to change it.
