In English:
The neighbourhood lies in sleep with doors closed
But I keep hearing the night knocking at my door,
"Abani, are you in?"

Here it rains all the time
Here the clouds roam like cows
Here the green grass
closes in on the door,
"Abani, are you in?"

In my heart, halfhearted, long-travelled
I fall asleep through my pain
Suddenly I hear the night knocking at my door,
"Abani, are you in?"

In Jinnic:
Liac kár maničeš reme irseš
lie-3PS neighbourhood door-COM.PL in sleep closed-COM.PL
Laklù nù kukokkà dore nokà
INTENS-hear-1PS but INTENS-knocking-ACC door-LOC night-ACC
"Oboni, èšnú?"
Oboni, be.present-2PS-INTERR

Ápés jús linápàt tìti celús
Nebís cís řembeèt ìpti gùùnís
Barí kí gröotís tesŏ könís
Dore ád irneèt tesŏ meis
"Oboni, èšnú?"

Geis lyis kétírwĕ dógi řeos
Sipés pì renneüù mais eyo
Laklù kit kukkokà dore nokà
"Oboni, èšnú?"

I'm much too lazy to do the rest - I'll get to it later.

Brishţi pôŗe ekhane baromash

Fixed now.

We don't use Devanagari! We use Bengali!

I suppose I should provide some details about my translation:

Jinnic poetry is based on syllables. In the example I gave, each line is 10 syllables long, except the refrain, which is 5.

Also, in each line, the first word has two syllables, the next one has one, the next three, and the next two have two and two.

'Pologies. Looks like Devanagari. (Guess I don't know my Indian scripts well enough.)

That's cool.

(Out of curiosity, why does the English version have the name as Abani, and the Bangla as Ôboni?)

Don't quite have the vocab for this sadly...

In most English transliterations it's Abani, but Wikipedia's gives Ôboni.

Bengali is so pretty-looking. (^_^) I'm gonna translate this into all four of my posted languages when it's not 11 at night! Very Happy And by that I mean hopefully tomorrow.

But then how's the name pronounced - Abani or Oboni?
The Bengali text doesn't work for me. Do I lack a font or smth?

You must be lacking a font.

http://bn.wikipedia.org/wiki/উইকিপেডিয়া:Bangla_script_display_help includes instructions on downloading Bengali fonts.

Ahaha, it's 11:30 and yet here I am again. (^_^) I justify myself by saying I don't have to get up for work tomorrow so I can stay up as late as I want and not die. Razz

I was too lazy to translate into Ualaxx (perhaps another time) but here are ra cel, Hemnälg, and Tadváradcel, with pathetic glosses. Also the order of gloss and language are switched between ra cel and the others... sorry 'bout that. Hemnälg doesn't have a native word for "rain" - feel free to laugh at its borrowing, /cuck/. It does not rhyme with any particular waterfowl, expletives, hockey necessities, male deer, bending actions, bed-making actions, straw-using actions, nasty associations, or what you need when gambling.

Ra cel:
Lie-PRES neighborhood in-sleep with-door-plural close-PAST-dangling-adj.-adj(3n1a)
