English is not my native language, so I'm very very sory about mistakes, if there are such. Embarassed

Before you start reading some bits and peaces I've been able to find about this language during these past days, I wanted to tell you little bit about the place where this language is used. Just some words. Smile L'aruun is a place in my own made world that ceased to exist a very long time ago. So, basically, the creatures that inhabited L'aruun(they are called Flumen) are gone and this language in its main form is not used by anyone anymore. It is a dead language. There are heirs of the culture of L'aruun(Dvarii), but their language is a very changed and much more difficult form of L'aruun, there are, offcors, similarities, but not much. The main one is the writing, that hasn't changed much. But, well, I don't know much about Dvarii language... yet! Very Happy

The main rules of L'aruun (written language):

1. There are no words, that start with a vowel.
2. There are no words that end with a constant.

Example: L'aoroenn'i [spoken as aoroenn]

So, as you can se, the spoken and the written L'aruun is different. Smile

Mostly words are made by asociations from nouns. So, you just have to know all the nouns and you will be able to understant this language. Smile

Example:
Teontha [Teonta]- oak
Teonthai [Teontai]- old

Nouns.

As said before, every word stars with a constant and ends with a vowel.
L' - shows that the word is being spoken by female.
N'- shows that this word is being spoken by male.
Words without any apostrophes are used by both genders.
Nouns are not conjugated, so, basically, there is only one form of a noun.
The plurar is being created by adding one extra leter at the end of the word (usually the same letter, with witch the word ends)

Example:
Sheo- a heart(one heart)
Sheoo- many hearts

If the word is countable, than you just ad a number, like, 4 hearts. You don't add four "oooo" at the end. Very Happy

Verbs.

There are 3 times and infinitive.
Infinitive is being created by adding a vowel "u" at the end of a word.

Example:
Namiyell'u- to fly

The present is being created by adding "a" at the end of the word.

Example:
Namiyell'a- flies

The pats is being created by adding "au" at the end of the word.

Example:
Namiyell'au- flew

in L'aruun the future time is the same as the present, so, I didn't write it here as another time. Smile

Pronouns

There are 4 pronouns:
Nea- me
Nei- you
Nee- we
Neu- they(them)

But pronouns are not that comonly used. Usually, when you speak about some person, you just use their name or, if you don't know one, kindly ask, how to call them.

Adjectives.

Adjectives are created in the same way as many other words- by asociations.

Example:
Ramira; leaf(one that is green and fresh)
Ramirai- green

Usually to create an adjective you just take the noun and ad "i"

oh, and one more thing. About the usage of letter "i".
it is used to create adjectives and is usually used, when you just need to end a word with a vowel in the times, when it is not spoken and is written with an apostrophe.

Oh, and I still don't know about what is the order of words in a sentence, I will post in later. The same thing is with articles(if there are any, I don't know for shure at the moment)

The writing of this language I will post later on. Smile

Well, that is all for now. Maybe later I will write something more about this language. Smile Any questions? ^_^

Is there any way in spoken language to understand the time/gender?
Wouldn't ramirai just end up as leafy or smth? or is it another context thing? Smile
and it would be great to see some phonetics for the roman letters you're using Wink

Yes, a list of all the sounds in your language and how you represent them in Roman characters would be nice.

Also, what does L'aoroenn'i mean?
