I finally got off my ass and did it! Behold! (or perhaps Yale! (/jale/, not /jEIl/))
Works like an abjad. Vowels come hanging off the bottom of the consonant that precedes them. (The second row of vowels is for sentence-final ones, they act like periods. Only used when there's no other punctuation mark there.)
And a sample. It's the 'light in the darkest hour' TC:
Irilhi ma emuyaöe nema.
Illustrates not only my inability to write straight, but also my inabilities to write at a consistent size and to write it correctly the first time through. >_>
EDIT: I need to scan it at a higher quality next time.... |

I like it! Vertical abjads FTW!
Looks very similar to Wnii Raitolïihøste, was that intentional? |

Absolutely. I really liked the feel of that, so I thought I'd just copy it. (I didn't have the key handy, so I just made up new symbols that fit the original feel.) |

Hmm, looks like tendrils of a sweet pea or smth (to me at least). I'm not saying it's a bad thing, quite the opposite - this is the first vertical abjad I've seen (I've not seen much, I know)
Overally, I like it, but I agree about the image quality
May I suggest? I think, that it would look better overally, if there was a kind of a start mark for words/sentences, since you have an end-version of vowels. I would suggest you start each word with a sentence or smth, but you can ignore me, if you want ^^
Anyway, good luck! |

That's why I said - it's the first I've seen (and I haven't seen much)
I tried not to be naive enough to think there aren't any , but thanks, Hemicomputer (for some reason I want to call you Hemicopter), yours is very beautiful.
Back to the topic, TF, I'd like to see some serious text fragments - with proper punctuation and stuff |

Most of the scripts I do are vertical, and most of those are abjads, but I've really not done much in the last year or so.

That's a cool idea, actually. IDK how I would do it (maybe something covering the top part), but I'll definitely think about it.
Maybe just make the top letter more of a circle, start on the left first. I'll see how that looks.

If you can suggest something of sufficient length that either I have already translated (as a TC here) or that I can probably pull off with my limited vocab, feel free to suggest it. I'd love to see it like that too. |

Thanks ^_^
Arabic has to be the most beautiful natscript on the planet. Ironic that it's used with arguably one of the least aesthetically pleasing langs. (Don't get me wrong, Arabic sounds cool, just not pretty.) |

Really? I find Arabic quite beutiful to hear. Same goes for Hebrew.
Totally aggree about the script, though. Aribic, especially Mashq, is the most beutiful natscript I've seen. Or, at least, tied for first with mongolian. |
