I'm thinking of adapting my more ancient conworld into a steampunk era conworld. I enjoy the Victorian era of history, and think it would be fun to invent and describe the kinds of machines that go with that genre. Anyone else like steampunk? _________________ Speak: English, Spanish

Me! Especially the guitars. (and one more)
A conworld based on this subculture sounds very interesting, I'd like to hear more as soon as you develop it. |

I think the jewelry is pretty interesting, but I don't know much about it otherwise... well, sort of. (^_^) Bits and pieces. What sorts of machines are you thinking of? _________________ I have some small knowledge of:

My favorite was the third guitar. That separate doohicky with the pipes looked cool.
Achemel: I have been building machines that walk rather than roll on wheels lately. Steampunk turns modern stuff into Victorian era technology, or invents whole new technologies that might have developed had history turned out differently: like war zeppelins. This has examples of some Steampunkesque machines. My favorite is the centipede.
If you've ever seen League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, Nemo's stuff is an example of alternative technology. I don't think it was a very good movie, though. _________________ Speak: English, Spanish

AAHHH, that's right! I knew I sort of knew what it was, haha. Walking machines? Are you thinking of machines like the centipede that are for things like transportation (or at least that's what it looks like to me), or machines for other purposes? Or both? _________________ I have some small knowledge of:

Looks like a good idea. I've never really gotten into steampunk, but the visual style is awesome. |

Your avatar seems steampunkish...or at least turn-of-the-century. What's it from? _________________ Speak: English, Spanish

Oh, that? That's probably just the hat. It's from a fantasy webcomic called Erfworld. It's good, and it's rather humorous. |
