Or that's what some people told me...

I wish I had the original version in Japanese or the translation in English, but I don't. If anyone wants to help me fetch them, please, feel free to post it in this thread at any time.

Spanish:

Río Minano:
desde el monte Tsukuba
cae y se junta,
profundo. Así mi amor
se ha vuelto un agua honda.

Kexyana:

Lesse Minano:
Kes Koge Zukuba
dezel ses lu gairel,
sarnisos, ove nu Elina
lu zernoli theoneon nivo Daseo sarniseo.

The last verse may also look like this...

lu zernoli theoneon nivo Deros sarnisos.
or
lu zernoli theoneon nivo Sarnidros.
or
lu zernoli theoneon Nisarnidros.

The point was to compose it and make sure there were 31 syllables only, but the translation in Kexyana failed to achieve this, it has 35 to 38 syllables...

Fixed an error in the number of syllables... (Check Tolkien_Freak's comment about the 5-7-5-7-7 syllable structure or check out what Wikipedia says about tanka...)

What's it in English? I'd like to go find it, but 'Emperor Yosei's Tanka' doesn't bring up anything on Google.

Finally I've found it... after looking for the emperor's name in Wikipedia...

(Romaji)
Yozei In

Tsukuba ne no
Mine yori otsuru
Minano-gawa
Koi zo tsumorite
Fuchi to nari nuru

Emperor Yozei

From Tsukuba's peak
Falling waters have become
Mina's still, full flow:
So my love has grown to be
Like the river's quiet deeps.

Velt Tsúkúváci len
Mirev júkált xe evâl
Xár teg úig Mináci
Al dole tol xe evâl
Syon lyév lanici ñan

peak Tsukuba-GEN of/from
water-pl fall-GERUND PAST become
way* still full Mina-GEN
and love 1.GEN PAST become
stomach* quiet river-GEN like

*In Holxws, a river's "path" or "way" is its current/flow. A river's "stomach" is its depth or its bed.

32 syllables! Yay!

No, it's a tanka. (短歌) It's a kind of Japanese poem like a haiku, except it goes 5-7-5-7-7 syllables.

Razz

Japanese poetry is the only kind of poetry I actually really like, and I don't know why. It's just cool.
