Have you ever noticed that whenever St. Patrick's Day is on a Tuesday (as it is this year), it's always just a handful of days after Friday the 13th?

And, whenever Flag Day or Valentine's Day is on a Saturday, it's always right after Friday the 13th?

And every year, New Year's Day is always on the same day of the week as Christmas of the year before was?

There's probably some mathematical explanation, but I don't know what it is. Interesting though.

It's because of the number of days in a year.

Another good general rule is that any month starting on a Sunday will have a Friday the 13th.

Unfortunately my lucky friday this month will be spoiled by having one less hour of sleep this past sunday..... I hate Daylight Savings Time

Arizona is also smart enough to skip DST, and they have a pretty good reason. DST increases the time that the average person spends out in the inferno-esque Arizonan summer heat, so they decided it was probably best to skip it.

Here in Texas now, it sucks. (Why can't they do it on a Friday-Saturday night, when everybody can sleep in the next day regardless of religious affiliation?)

Awesome, I used to live in Phoenix. Flagstaff's way nicer (in regards to temperature, I've never been there).
