I really like it. ^_^ It reminds me of my own script - Eleypherion. I keep on reading the θ as a "b" as that is what it looks like in Eleypherion. But, yes, I like it, oh, and how long does it take you to write it? I know that for Eleypherion, it does take a while to write as well as to learn. Razz

*loves vertscripts*

It's awesome. I may visually base my next conscript on it, since that's kinda the feel I'm going for.

Thanks, I got the idea from Mongolian.

As for how long it takes to write, I'll have to memorize it first Wink But each individual letter takes no longer than the letters in English. However, because we're used to these letters, it's really easy to write quickly. Since I'm likely to use this one a lot more, I'll likely memorize this one, then see how long it takes to write.

(for some reason, images still won't work...)

Here's boingy in Gaelvin Very Happy

And here's another (longish) example of Gaelvin, a series of haiku's after one of Matsuo Basho's that I did in Writing class.

This is definitely my favourite script that I've made Smile

Well, I got around to doing a typed version of Gaelvin, and am working on the transliteration for the same poem as I did before.

Later, I'll also do an outline version, it may look very interesting with the letterforms and combinations!

Agreed with above, it's pretty. Some of the letters have a vaguely spiky feel to them.

Thanks!

The 'spiky' is because I decided to make it look like I used a chisel tip pen to write the letters.

Out of curiosity, how did you do that? Did you just draw them by hand in an image editing program?

By hand on Paint. It just took a little while to get the forms right, get the right feel for the curves etc.

Raven's Song is done:

The outline version is nearly done too, it's looking interesting so far Very Happy

It is IMO quite beautiful.

Have you considered having such a poem hung as a bead-curtain?

Doing so in real life might be too much work, but maybe your conpeople would do such a thing. Maybe the characters could be knots; maybe they could be beads; maybe batik of some kind or something similar. What do you think?

Would it be possible to have runners of some hanging vine spell out a poem? Would such a poem last longer than one season? How much work would it be to keep it saying the same thing?

Wow thanks!

I haven't done anything with it for a while, I'm working on some other scripts but not heavily. Right now I'm considering a completely new language with a bunch of features I've never used before. The problem is I'll have to re-write my lexicon for it.

Your welcome.

Vertical scripts are some of my favorites.
