I just got the LOTR Return of the King complete recordings (which are BEYOND AMAZING), and it made me think - one of the coolest things about the LOTR movies is that the majority of the soundtrack is sung in conlangs, and I find that awesome.
I don't know why, but hearing conlangs sung as if they were real languages gives me a weird happy feeling. |

I meant to say, what was the name of that compilation of the soundtrack?
I could try to find a similar one in music stores here, if I am lucky enough, or if there is actually demand here for them to supply it. _________________ kasabot ka ani? aw di tingali ka bisaya mao na

I bought it on Amazon, I don't think it would sell in stores.
It's the Lord of the Rings: Return of the King Complete Recordings. 4 hours of music from one movie.
The ones from the first two movies are good too, but the second one has an annoyingly disproportionate amount of Old English (masquerading as Rohirric). There's just an annoying amount of it. |

Old English in LoTR actually involves quite a bit of conwork, since there is actually little material. I think... _________________ kasabot ka ani? aw di tingali ka bisaya mao na

Hm, maybe. I just don't like it because of the way it sounds. It bores me. (Don't know why.) |

I've only found one non-Tolkienan recording of a conlang in music. It was in Irina Rempt's conlang. All voice. _________________ kasabot ka ani? aw di tingali ka bisaya mao na

(Here is a song I translated into Eleypherion, it is called Dead Boy's Poem by Nightwish. the order is English - Literal English - Eleypherion)
Dead Boy’s Poem – Boy-dead’s Poem – Saminttitamart Zini
Born from silence, silence full of it
A perfect concert my best friend
So much to live for, so much to die for
If only my heart had a home
From silence born, it silence full of
Friend-best-my a concert perfect
So much to love-for, so much to die-for
If only heart-my a home had
Dai sasaurmas omyponur, zhe sasaurmas gorni
Amuli-dwoebien-naemart bu kadawul aley
Vala nilam grirenura, vala nilam ttitairenura
Viron paset ngamaran-naemart bu oleha candoz
Sing what you can't say
Forget what you can't play
Hasten to drown into beautiful eyes
Walk within my poetry, this dying music
- My loveletter to nobody
What can’t-you say, sing
What can’t-you play, forget
Eyes-beautiful-in drown hasten
Within poetry-my walk, this music dying
Letter of love-my give nobody
Wi sutomboke, canbe
Wi suhaldine, wongre
Yaiuga-somailuakonani siofme idat
Oajit zinigal-naemart pulpe, ku potart ttitaribat
- O’os desi yuachuzo-naemart chararo qeetngin
Never sigh for better world
It's already composed, played and told
Every thought the music I write
Everything a wish for the night
World-better-for never-sigh
Composed, played and told already
Every though the music I write
Everything a wish the night-for
Muka-dwoebeanenura suxultixe
Soulosiz, haldiniz oun laneriz nunum
Dinome eifaglu il potart haliwo
Stingli bu lova’atu il garanenura
Wrote for the eclipse, wrote for the virgin
Died for the beauty the one in the garden
Created a kingdom, reached for the wisdom
Failed in becoming a god
The eclipse-for wrote, the virgin-for wrote
The beauty-for died the one the garden-in
A kingdom created, the wisdom-for reached
A god to become failed

"If you read this line, remember not the hand that wrote it
Remember only the verse, songmaker's cry the one without tears
For I've given this its strength and it has become my only strength.
Comforting home, mother's lap, chance for immortality
Where being wanted became a thrill I never knew
The sweet piano writing down my life"
“If this line you read, the hand that it wrote don’t-remember
Only the verse remember, the cry songmaker’s the one no-tears
For this strength it’s I have given and only strength my it has become
Home comforting, lap mother’s, chance immortality-for
Where being wanted a thrill not-I wanted
The piano sweet like-my writing down”

And you, you-for anymore I wish not-I did

A soul lonely, a soul of the ocean

Check out the most recent Enya album, titled "Amarantine". There are three songs on it sung in Loxian, a conlang developed by Roma Ryan, Enya's lyracist. The lyrics in the jacket are even printed in the Loxian script. _________________ Dwirze ghárìlen ershónyá áqálán.

I've considered it. Sort of a harp-violin mixture.
It'll probably never get made, though. _________________ Bakram uso, mi abila, / del us bakrat, dahud bakrita! |
