Which city do you want to host the 2016 Summer Olympics?

I support Doha a bit.

It's way too early, by that time I'll have finished college and started a job Wink

Detroit.
Also I want both major parties' conventions to be in Detroit.
And the FIDE chess championship.
And the World's Fair.
Just about everything, in fact.

Chicago's the closest thing.

Even the Cricket World Cup?

I want Chicago, mostly because I live close to there.

I agree with eldin raigmore, I want detroit to have the olympics. It desperately needs the income and so does the state. For all of thoses who live in Michigan knows how horrible it is getting. Even in my hometown of clarkston where we have the likes of Kid Rock among our rich, is not doing to good, but Kid Rock has donated alot to our community.

The candidate cities are Chicago, Rio de Janeiro, Madrid, Prague, Baku, Doha, and Tokyo. The deadline has already passed for bidding.

Detroit could bid for the 2018 Olympics.

Prague

IMO, Prague may be a bit small to hold an event of that kind of popularity. Space may be an issue when tens of thousands of people flock there just to see the olympics.

I'd go with Tôkyô (because it's in Japan) or Bakı (because it's in Azerbaijan, and Azerbaijan is not a particularly important place).

Vilnius, charming town.

But for practicality's sake, I'd go for either Doha, Dubai, Seoul or Tokyo.

Dubai could be interesting.

Tokyo may be good as well. It certainly doesnt have a size issue... it's the largest city in the world. But hasn't it hosted the olympics before? If so than I would like a new city to host it.

I'd like to see Madrid host it... I was disapointed when they didn't get the 2012 olympics.
