How do I make a Font for my conscript? I really want to. Like really a LOT.

I have a cursive script that I can change...I just REALLY would like to make a font, because I have REALLY ugly handwriting, so my conlang might actually be legible (*gasp*).

I'v ealways used this one:

http://www.high-logic.com/fontcreator.html

However, it is only a trial version for 30 fays I believe. Just make sure you have time to fiddle with it.

For me, I hand wrote each letter as neatly as possible on paper and then scanned it in. I then had to edit each of the letters slightly to make sure they all joined up as mine was a vertical cursive script, and I am guessing a horizontal cursive script would be the same.

I've lost my trial version now, so I doubt I will be of much help from this point forth.

I've played with FontCreator Pro, and it's very good, but you'll want to shell out the $50 or so to buy a real version since the trial won't let you save your work.

The Alurhsa font was created using TypeDesigner, which I have a very old version of, and which is more expensive and less capable than FontCreatorPro.

Fontographer on the Mac is a very good product, but I'm not sure it's even still supported. I think when Adobe bought Macromedia they discontinued it. I have an older version of that although I don't use it much.

I'm looking into FontForge, the Open Source font creation and editing program. I hear it's tough to use, but I don't have enough info yet.

So does this mean that you have fonts for your conscripts?! I want copies!

Good luck. Here's an example of my font at work. God how I sadly love RuneScape.

IT READS:
Hinting at Summoning has been an interesting experiment for us, and it is one that we feel has been very successful. Our favourite bits have been when studying the Forums, looking at what people expect from Summoning. "It's quite interesting, seeing some of the things that are bandied about on the Forums, considered to be 'fact'," says Mod Mark. Among these are 'I'll be able to summon an army' and 'Summoning has no use for skillers' – well, we can say now that neither of those are true. The hints and teasers have also seen a lot of positive chat, suggestions and anticipation surrounding Summoning, which can only be a good thing!

We can promise you that we have made Summoning to the best of our abilities, and we're very proud of it. All that is left now is for you to play it, enjoy it, get your hands on a Summoning skillcape, and know that, in the month after the skill is released, another big batch of creatures will be on its way.

You know what to do with the spaces between the dots.

Um there's no spaces between URLS.

Edit: It doesn't work when I fix it in the address bar.

How do you make a font without a scanner. I don't have a scanner, sadly enough.
