The primary focus of a Forum or Forums is to provide a place for discussion for people for their ideas, hobbies or just anything. Having three forums (Vreleksa, Con.Com, Conlinguists) in friendly competition with each other is good at the onset. It allows different people to choose whichever one they prefer. However, recently, a lot of us have been moving across forums, having two or three forums at the same time. This defeats the forums' purpose, mainly, to provide a place for discussion; this is because attention will be divided amongst them (forums). True, there may be in fact three places of discussion, but this makes it all the more complicated. The result of this is that information tends to be scattered, as in some script info on Vreleksa, Con.com and, in the future maybe on Conlinguist. Conlang information is also on all the three.

Wouldn't it be great if we had one big happy forum with all our people in it? This makes it easier for the user not having to check multiple boards at once. We could also have a power sharing agreements between these admins. Maybe one will take the division for conlangs-only, another for conworlding and perhaps another one for scripting. That is my proposal. Boardlords, whaddya think?

I think that it's a good idea. I do think, however, we should let the conlinguists' board develope a bit more before we let it merge with us. But there's a problem:

How will be going about doing this?

I'll ask around to see what available solutions there are. I guess it could be done, all a phpBB forum is some elaborate program on the net, after all. Maybe there is some sort of database.
