Suspecting that your conworld will have evil, both natural and inhabitant-made, how does your conreligion/confaith react or answer to that? Especially if the deities are benevolent, omnipotent and omniscient, this may become more interesting.

It would be great if there was one definitive answer, unlike some religions in which they say it is caused by humans, the Devil caused it, it is a test for us, it is done by God for a reason unknown by men, etc. It would be great if there was an idea that the inhabitants lived by.

(Now, it seems a little silly. But let's see how it'll go. Razz)

In case you guys didnt know, my conreligion (and real world religion I suppose) is The Catholic Church of Danslag. This isn't just normal catholocism though, it's extremely spiritual and much much more forgiving. It has a little aspect of every religion in there. I believe that it truly is my god center.

Anyway enough of my preaching lets get to answering the OP. The CCoD explains evil as a human made animosity. God gave humans free will, and he loves us so much that he lets us commit sins without eternal punishment. That is what purgatory is for, however, after you die (go look it up Wink ). The evil that is eminated from humans results in Satan. Satan is the deed that is commited by the human, and ultimately affects other humans and living things. So where is God in all of this? God is considered the help and healing after Satan wreaks havok.

My conworld ideally doesn't have a religion.

However, as ethical people, they do have a way of handling concepts such as 'evil'. People are ethically wrong in the sense that they use their rights in a way that is detrimental to society. They believe that everyone is given a choice of doing 'good' or doing 'bad'. They don't believe in any eternal punishment. Whatever a person does, he or she is accountable for those actions. So, whatever you do, it is your decision alone that caused it to be, one does not blame God or anyone else.
