i know that most chinese peeps are pagan... but wiccan? that's really unusual (strange magic i know that you call yourself pagan but your parents are wiccan... right?) but on the other hand, i suppose that you DO live in england, the birthplace of wicca.

anyway that's my two cents.

OMG im watching tv right now and there's this amazing vid of a tornado blowing up a power plant!!! Shocked FRIKIN AWSOME!!!!

Yeh, most Chinese people are Pagans due to the fact that they (especially the older generation) celebrated the full and dark moons and also the seasons due to the heavy influence on their farming. But my parents are Wiccan or Pagan, they have no religion. But my Dad, I believe, was brought up as a Christian, and my mother as a Traditional Chinese Religion follower, however, they don't see it as an important part of their lives and don't really do anything regarding it.

I've basically always been attached to Nature, the Moon and the Sun and soon found that Paganism was the right religion for me.

And interesting TV show! LOL

It is indeed annoying but at least you get by. How would one say boingy in Chinese? I couldn't resist asking. Mr. Green

Dan Dan Gung Zhai (This is Cantonese pronunciation though)

I think in IPA it would be:

dan dan guŋ tsɐi

I always thought it was /tS/, watching a lot of cctv.

I tried studying Hokkien once, but stopped before even mastering the seven/eight tone system (arrghh!).

Meanwhile here's another update.

You might be right, yssida, but it's not the French j.

I like the new script! ^_^

Essentially it's the same. The only difference are the vowel diacritics, they come from Baybayin vowel marks, since they are much simpler. By vowel, I also mean to include the virama.

@yssida: your conscript looks like hebrew.

@strangemagic: o... because there's an american show called "survivor" and there in china right now, so they name their tribes after chinese things. one of the tribes names is "zhan hu", and the host of the tv show always pronounces it like the french j. that's the best i can explain the show to you... does someone wanna add lol

Just checked this morning, it's /ts`/ and non-aspirated.

It's not my conscript. It's a modified dead natscript actually, and a lot of it I get from old research date. Credits to linguist Antoon Postma for deciphering it. Very Happy
