Caviar comes from virgin sturgeons.
Virgin sturgeons are very rare fish.
Sturgeons seldom long remain virgin;
That's why caviar's a very rare dish. |

Male? Caviar is the roe, or eggs, of sturgeons; it comes from the females.
Does your conlang consider female sturgeons to be linguistically of the masculine gender? |

Erm.... I didn't know what Caviar exactly was made from. And I guess I could jsut say that the eggs are both male and female and in my conlang, we use the male plural for a mixed group. Does that make sense?? |

Of course there's no reason biological sex should always match grammatical gender, but if it doesn't that's one of those interesting things you'd want to tell us.

Hmm... yeh! Oops, I may change it because that is not the way Eleypherion works. It's due to my lack of knowledge of foods, or at least these strange types. |
