If anyone is interested, I'll be posting my term papers to Google Docs when they're done; they might be useful if your conlang does or will involve (noun) incorporation, or evidentiality (as it turns out, mine involves both).

The Structure of Nxa'amxcin Lexical Suffixes
A 10-pg paper on the incorporation strategies found in Nxa'amxcin, a Salish language spoken in Washington. Primarily morphology and syntax.

Event-level Evidentiality in Quechua
A 7-pg paper on evidential marking on events (rather than propositions) in Quechua, a language spoken from Bolivia to Peru. Primarily syntax and semantics.

Cheers!

And now so is "Event-level Evidentiality in Cuzco Quechua"

https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B_8UOanEoO5GekNpWTZkMnVFSVk/edit

As of now, I can focus my linguistic efforts on my conlangs again Smile

Right after some rum.

I wish I had seen these earlier. Now that I've seen them, I'll read them. Maybe I'll even peruse or study them.

(added in edit:) Well, I haven't actually finished reading either of them yet, but I want to say already that I'm impressed. (/edit)

Thanks!

Really happy with how these turned out; in fact I'm turning the Nxa'amxcin paper into my thesis project, which is an expanded analysis of the lexical suffix phenomena across Salishan languages.

Would anyone be interested if I post the lexical suffix paper I'm working on?
It certainly doesn't cover ALL Salish languages, as just the Interior languages (or even a single one!) are enough of a handful.

It's still unfinished so far, but the deadline is December 12th, so that's when it will be done Razz

PS: it will not be short.

Will do Smile

I'm finally doing the actual analysis, and it's turning out well so far!

The deadline has been pushed back to Dec. 17th.

The paper looks at St'át'imcets (Lillooet), Nselxcin (Colville-Okanagan) and NxaɁamxcín (Moses-Columbian), and is most definitely not short, but also not hundreds of pages, so there's that.

The majority of the paper is written, and the appendices take up about 50 pages (primarily due to data/examples).

Looking forward to completing this!
