Yeah, but I guess they bought the referee or Joseph Blatter... They wear a new shirt with their first star on it while they got the gold medals and the world cup.
BTW, does anyone really care about the women's under 20 world cup that started today, tuesday 13th, in Germany?
I mean, does anyone really care about that? Or for some chauvinistic way of thinking we think their football is inferior and less important?
I posted questions like those ones in Spanish speaking fora and got no answer... _________________ Seos nivo adgene Kizne tikelke

I'd guess that most people don't know it exists, simply because of the vastly smaller amount of publicity that it gets. And if they do know, they probably don't pay too much attention for that reason. |

WHS
It's a sort of a magic ring (at least we have such an exptression in Latvian) - it has no publicity because no one cares, and no one cares because it has no publicity |

I don't think we have that one in English ^_^ Is it like something that ends up causing itself (like, say, a self-fulfilling prophecy)?
Found an English plural with no distinct separate parts: underwear. While the word itself is hard to call either singular or plural (it's really only used by itself in the context of the whole category), it's generally found in the expression 'a pair of underwear' - and more tellingly, when the phrase 'a pair of underwear' has a demonstrative substitute for it, the demonstrative is plural. |

Usually we use the expression for problems that cause one another resulting in a sort of a circle. A common (I hope, exaggarated) example is getting a job right after college. They say, one can't get a job, because one has no experience, but can't have any experience without a job.
In Lavian, we call a situation like that "apburtais loks" (SUF-bewitch-PART.DEF circle-NOM.S)
I guess, a literal translation of "loks" would be arch (not considering the other word, which has nothing to do with circular motion, but is written exactly the same way), but I guess it has some kind of another meaning, where it means "circle" |

I'm not entirely certain of the meaning of that one. |

Dieses kann dich vielleicht helfen:
Joseph Heller, the author of Catch-22, wrote: | There was only one catch and that was Catch-22, which specified that a concern for one's safety in the face of dangers that were real and immediate was the process of a rational mind. Orr was crazy and could be grounded. All he had to do was ask; and as soon as he did, he would no longer be crazy and would have to fly more missions. Orr would be crazy to fly more missions and sane if he didn't, but if he was sane he had to fly them. If he flew them he was crazy and didn't have to; but if he didn't want to he was sane and had to. Yossarian was moved very deeply by the absolute simplicity of this clause of Catch-22 and let out a respectful whistle. |

I insist, this gotta be one of most hijacked threads of this forum he he he...
Anyway, last week the Women's under 20 world cup began in Germany, but I can't really say I care about it. Messi played last wednesday in Panama during the inauguration of the Rommel Fernandez stadium and even if I know he's a soccer star, I didn't watch the game. Actually I was busy scripting in Ruby he he he. I guess that only means I like football but I'm no real soccer fan after all.
I think I'd like to buy some of the official FIFA soccer balls but if speaking about Jabulani, I prefer not to get one. IDK, I'd just prefer to buy some Fevernova or TeamGeist instead if possible... _________________ Seos nivo adgene Kizne tikelke

There's a gradient to all kinds of fandoms.

Beyond 'buying official FIFA soccer balls' I don't have any idea what you're talking about. (Sort of. I kinda know what Jabulani is.) |

They were the previous match balls used in the previous competitions. _________________ Seos nivo adgene Kizne tikelke
