I went to a birthday party last night for three people in our science-fiction book club.
Somebody brought along the "Happy Birthday Dirge", which is sung to the tune of the "Volga Boatmen".

The last verse was:
"Happy Birthday" (Thud! (bang on the table or stomp on the floor))
"Happy Birthday" (Thud!)
"People starving on the Earth;
"Go ahead, eat your dessert."
"Happy Birthday!" (Thud!)

Other verses were:
"May the candles on your cake
Burn like cities in your wake"

"Pay attention! You must learn;
First you pillage, then you burn!"

"When you've reached the age you ar,
Your demise cannot be far."

"When you've reached this age, you know,
that the mind is first to go."

And similar stuff to cheer up a 67-year-old guy, a 40-year-old-guy, and a woman whose age I don't know.
