I studied Thai for about a week at the University of Leeds in a "Intoduction to East Asian Langauges" summer school course. It was quite fun and I enjoyed it but I haven't continued my studies. >_< |
I'm afraid my Thai is pretty non-existant. I have books and have looked at it, but for some reason I find all of the tonal languages really intimidating. Add the script, which is also rather challenging, and the fact that the East Asian cultures generally aren't among those that really fascinate and excite me, and it means my daughter will be doing all the interpreting! (She is reasonably conversational in Thai, since she's been living there for over a year now...) |
Ah, I see. Tonal languages do seem to be a bit of a challenge, especially when your native language doesn't include them. I haven't actually learnt any other tonal languages other than those of my mother tongues - Hakka and Cantonese. I have recently become quite interested in Hokkien (Taiwanese) and also Mandarin. Hopefully, I can attempt those languages, when I have improved my Korean (which is near non-existant, unfortunately). |

HELL NO!
As for me I haven't been feeling well lately and I have on top of what ever this feeling that I get is stress, school, the people upstairs that need to die, the people that live in 10D that need to die, etc.
So as you can see I have alot on my plate. I do have LOADS of scripts that you should've seen by now but due the fact that my scanner hasn't been hooked up yet.......*screams* In case you're wondering about the apartment numbers I'm in 10F.
And no my address is mine. MINE I tell you MINE! ^_^
