Note: The Jenny in question was Jane Welsh Carlyle, wife of Thomas Carlyle. Hunt had just recovered from an extended battle with influenza, and when he went to tell the Carlyles the news, Jenny (in a very uncharacteristic move) leaped up and kissed him.
Hunt is perhaps best known for 'Abou Ben Adhem'.

That's really cool.
A few more and I'll start to learn your conlang!
Between "The Illustrious Dragon" and "My Fine Hen", I've gotten some words. (That is, when I see them I remember what they mean; not that I remember how to spell them without looking them up.)

What about irrealis mood?
What about vocatives for abstractions like "time"?
Has anyone created any of those for purposes of this TC?

Thanks for the "very cool" comment. The English provided is less of a morphemic gloss and more just a literal translation of the Holxûs text.

Aside from aspect, tense, polarity, voice, and agreement with participants, verbs also inflect (or are otherwise marked) for something called "mood" or "mode" or "modality".
See for instance this.
Linguists often talk about "Tense, Aspect, and Mood" together.
Tense and Aspect are pretty well-defined, but mood, mode, modality is not.
Certain ideas get included into mood/mode/modality by some linguists, that are left out by others. Also, some linguists treat "mood" and "mode" and "modality" as all the same thing, while others use one of those words differently from one of the others.
Two good "definitions" (well, they're not really definitions, but they're the best we have) of mood/mode/modality are:
(1) It reflects the speaker's attitude toward what s/he is saying in the clause; for instance, its relation to the speaker's knowledge, or to the speaker's will, or to the addressee's knowledge, or to the addressee's will.
(2) It tells how the speaker intends the clause to fit into the discourse.
Just as the biggest division in aspect is between "perfective" and "imperfective", so the biggest division in mood is between "realis" and "irrealis".
"Realis" moods are used when the speaker means that the clause is a fact. "Irrealis" moods are used when the speaker knows the clause is false, or doesn't know whether or not it is true; for instance, he hopes it's true, or he hope's it isn't true, or it will be true if and only if the addressee wants it to be true, or whatever. The moods used for hypothetical situations are also irrealis moods; they could be true, but they might not be; and they could be true in some circumstances and not others.
An example of an irrealis mood is this:
"Imagine what the world would be like if there were no hypothetical situations."
See this.
Since in your translation you used the "hyp" accident for the verb "say", I know that you have an irrealis mood (namely, "hypothetical") in your conlang; I don't know whether or not you invented it just for this TC. I was asking whether anyone had; you, or anyone else.
(I was also asking whether anyone had to come up with ways to make subordinate clauses; or ways to address abstract nouns.)

Oh. Fascinating!
I already had the Hypothetical accident before this, but I think I may add some other moods now that I know what they are. Although, having gotten about 6 hours sleep last night, that's the last thing I feel up to any time soon.
