Happy leap day!
Anyone know of someone whose birthday is today? There was just one kid in my school, and he was turning three today. _________________ Join us at: The Renewed Spirits Forum!

Tradition here has it that a leap day is the only day on which a woman can propose to a man!
Anyway, on a slightly related note, what calendars would our conworlds use? Mine uses a lunar calendar, as many real cultures do. _________________ My Website |

My culture also uses a lunar calendar. _________________ Join us at: The Renewed Spirits Forum!

Haven't decided yet. Probably something weird like the Mayan calendar. _________________ Tiedämme missä asut.

My conworld has a solar calendar and a lunar calendar, but the lunar calendar is not actually used anymore. I've created quite a cool Excel document which will help find the corresponding Earth date to a Nymphan date.
Also, there are days without "numbers" and 5 extra days every 4 years, and then there is the 27 year cycle. |

Etavahi otatháneri ygathi ihanei!
Mine uses a biannual solar calendar, since the number of days in two years is divisible by 10. Makes it easy. _________________ 'We are the knights who say, "に!"'

I don't recall whether or not I've already explained this.
My conworld uses a soli-lunar or luni-solar calendar.
It repeats its cycle every 57 years = 705 months = 20819 days.
19 years = 235 months = 6940 or 6939 days.
1 year = 12 or 13 months.
1 month = 30 or 29 days.
12 months = 354 or 355 days.
13 months = 384 or 383 days. _________________ Therefore love the child who holds your hand; and let your wife delight in your embrace; for this is the lot of mankind to enjoy:
