I knew you'd done this (thanks), but I couldn't find it through any of the links/sites in your sig. Should I have been able to?

Not thru those links, no. I only did it here on this board, and originally in the thread where you asked Eccentric Iconoclast how it would sound in Aquendi.

One bright day, late at night,
Two dead boys rose up to fight.
Back to back, they faced each other,
Drew their swords, and shot each other.
A deaf policeman heard the noise
And came and killed those two dead boys.
If you don't believe this lie is true
Just ask the blind man -- he saw it too.

I had a work-colleague, before I was disabled, who was a Mormon from Massachusetts. He was well on his way to becoming my best friend before he suicided. A nerd, like me, he played the psaltry and participated in re-enactments of English Civil War and American Revolutionary War and American Civil War battles, etc.
He'd suffered a brain-damaging auto accident, which changed his personality (he said; I didn't know him before the accident), so his wife divorced him; as divorce is a big no-no among Mormons he was constantly very depressed, and apparently eventually decided that if he was already going to Hell because he was divorced and couldn't do anything about that, then committing suicide would just be icing on the cake and he might as well not wait. (Asshole. Well, that's my reaction, anyway.)
He taught me that, plus the words to "The Girl I Left Behind Me", which he played on the psaltry; and some other stuff.

Wow! I would've never thought it had such a history behind it. I'm very sorry about what happened. Sad

That's only its history for me. I'm sure most people who know that poem have a much lighter-hearted memory of how they learned it. Actually, so do I -- it's other memories, two steps away from that one, which are sad.

Halyihev has some hymns translated into Aluhrsa; I had recommended the last verse of Charles Wesley's "Oh For a Thousand Tongues to Sing" to him;
"Hear Him, ye deaf; His praise, ye dumb,
Your loosened tongues employ;
Ye blind, behold your Savior come,
And leap, ye lame, for joy!"

But I figured most conpeople on-board wouldn't have as much of a conhistory with missionaries as the Aluhrsa, so, I thought of another poem that has a lot of the same translation challenges, though it isn't in anyway religious.

Thank-you. I had to add a few new words to do it! Although I don't have many yet.
